Today’s Word
In Matthew 25, Jesus tells the parable of the bags of gold. A master entrusted one servant with five bags, another with two, and another with one—each according to his ability. The heart of the story is not about how much each received, but about being faithful with what has been entrusted to us.
God is reminding you that you cannot wait for the perfect conditions or for the comfort zone to arrive. Now is the time to take steps of faith. If you leave your gifts unused, they will diminish; but when you stir them up, develop them, and put them into action, you give God a return on His investment in you.
Do not compare your gifts to others—you are not in competition with them. Your calling is unique. Be the very best you can be with what you have, and God will multiply your ability, sharpen your skills, increase your favor, and expand your influence. Faithfulness with little always opens the door to greater.
Prayer for Today
God, thank You for the gifts and calling You have entrusted to me. Today, I choose to step out in faith, to stir up and develop every gift You’ve placed within me. I will not compare myself to others but will faithfully use what I have, trusting You to increase it. Amen.
