Today’s Word
At the most critical hour before the cross, Jesus asked His closest friends to stay awake and pray with Him in the Garden of Gethsemane. Yet each time He returned, they were asleep. In that vulnerable moment, He chose not to be offended, not to be distracted, not to allow disappointment to derail His assignment. He simply said, “Sleep on,” and moved forward in obedience.
There are seasons when the support you expect does not show up. People you thought would stand beside you may be absent. It is tempting to feel discouraged or to believe you cannot move forward alone. Yet growth often comes when God gently removes human dependence so that we learn deeper trust in Him. Support from others is a blessing—but it is not your source.
When someone fails to be there for you, do not allow frustration to steal your focus. God is present even when people are not. He strengthens, sustains, and equips you for every purpose He has placed within you. Move forward with quiet confidence, knowing that divine support never sleeps.
Prayer For Today
God, thank You that even when others are not there for me, You are always present. Teach me not to depend entirely on people for encouragement or strength, but to rely fully on You. Help me to release disappointment, stay focused on my purpose, and move forward in faith. Amen.
