Today’s Word
Hosea’s story is a powerful reminder of God’s endless mercy. After his wife abandoned him and fell into slavery, God told Hosea to go after her, buy her back, and love her again. Others only saw her failures, but God saw her true identity—a beloved daughter created in His image with a divine destiny. In the same way, we are called to be like Hosea: to run after the broken, the addicted, and the hurting, not with judgment but with love, mercy, and God’s goodness. People may not deserve it—but neither did we. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Having received such incredible mercy, let us be vessels of mercy to others.
Prayer for Today
“God, thank You for being rich in mercy and for never giving up on me when I went astray. Fill my heart with grace and compassion so that I may love others as You do. Help me to be like Hosea—ready to lift up the fallen and restore them to wholeness. Amen.”
