Today’s Word
One angel in the Old Testament defeated an army of 185,000 soldiers in one night. When the prophet Elisha’s house was surrounded by a Syrian army, the hills around them were filled with powerful angels and chariots of fire. When Satan wanted to test Job’s faith, he had to ask God for permission because God had placed a hedge of protection around Job.
You may be surrounded by challenges—depression, addictions, opposition—and it feels like you’re stuck. But remember, you’re not alone. Ask God to open your eyes to see that He’s surrounding what’s surrounding you. In the unseen world, powerful warring angels are guarding you right now. Psalm 91 promises that when you honor God with your life, He commands His angels to watch over you. You might be surrounded by trouble, but that trouble is surrounded by the Most High. Keep doing the right thing and stay faithful—soon, you’ll see the forces that have hindered you broken once and for all.

“God, thank You that You know everything the enemy brings against me. Thank You that You are greater, stronger, and more powerful than any challenge I face. I believe that You have set a divine circle of protection around me and that victory belongs to You. Amen.”

در عهد قدیم، تنها یک فرشته در یک شب سپاه ۱۸۵ هزار نفری را شکست داد. وقتی خانه‌ی الیشع نبی توسط ارتش سوریه محاصره شد، تپه‌های اطراف پر از فرشتگان قدرتمند و ارابه‌های آتش بود. وقتی شیطان خواست ایمان ایوب را بیازماید، ابتدا مجبور شد از خدا اجازه بگیرد، زیرا خدا حصار محافظتی به دور ایوب قرار داده بود.
شاید تو نیز اکنون با مشکلاتی محاصره شده‌ای — افسردگی، اعتیاد، یا افرادی که مانع تو هستند. احساس می‌کنی در بن‌بست هستی. اما یادت باشد، تو تنها نیستی. از خدا بخواه چشمانت را باز کند تا ببینی او در حال حاضر در حال احاطه کردنِ آن چیزی است که تو را احاطه کرده است. در دنیای نادیدنی، فرشتگان جنگجوی قدرتمند در اطراف تو قرار دارند. مزمور ۹۱ وعده می‌دهد که اگر با زندگی‌ات خدا را حرمت نهی، او فرشتگانش را فرمان می‌دهد تا از تو مراقبت کنند. ممکن است در محاصره مشکلات باشی، اما آن مشکلات در محاصره خدای متعال هستند. کار درست را ادامه بده و وفادار بمان — به‌زودی نیروهایی که سد راهت بودند از میان خواهند رفت.
