Today’s Word
None of the men Jesus chose as His disciples were rabbis, priests, or scholars of the law. Peter and Andrew were ordinary fishermen with rough edges and visible weaknesses. Nothing in their background suggested they would become world changers. They could have easily thought, “Surely not us—we are too flawed, too ordinary.” We often think the same way: “Not me, God. I’ve failed too many times. I don’t measure up.”
But Jesus was not looking for perfection; He was looking for willingness. He was saying, “I know who you are, and I know your weaknesses. Your responsibility is not to fix yourself, but to follow Me, to keep Me first, and to stay open to change. My responsibility is to shape you.” When you follow Him, He molds your character, develops your gifts, and refines you into the person He created you to be. God specializes in turning ordinary people into extraordinary testimonies.
Prayer For Today
God, thank You for calling me to follow You and become who You created me to be. Thank You that You are the One who changes and shapes me. I choose to follow You wherever You lead and to keep You first place in my life. Amen.

Jumal, tänan Sind, et Sa oled mind kutsunud Sind järgima ja saama selleks, kelleks Sa mind loonud oled. Tänan Sind, et Sina oled see, kes mind muudab ja kujundab. Ma otsustan Sind järgida kõikjal, kuhu Sa mind juhid, ja hoida Sind oma elus esikohal. Aamen.

هیچیک از مردانی که عیسی آنها را به شاگردی فراخواند، خاخام، کاهن یا عالم شریعت نبودند. پطرس و اندریاس ماهیگیرانی ساده با ضعفها و نواقص آشکار بودند. از ظاهر زندگیشان چیزی نشان نمیداد که روزی جهان را تغییر دهند. آنها ممکن بود فکر کنند: «منظورت ما نیستیم؛ ما فقط آدمهای معمولی هستیم.» ما نیز اغلب همینگونه فکر میکنیم: «نه من، خداوندا. من شکستخوردهام و به اندازه کافی خوب نیستم.»
اما عیسی به دنبال کمال نبود؛ او به دنبال قلبی آماده بود. او میگوید: «من تو را میشناسم. وظیفه تو این نیست که خودت را عوض کنی، بلکه مرا پیروی کنی و مرا در اولویت قرار دهی. وظیفه من این است که تو را شکل دهم.» وقتی از او پیروی میکنی، او شخصیتت را میسازد، استعدادهایت را آشکار میکند و تو را به آنچه برایش آفریده شدهای تبدیل میکند. خدا از انسانهای معمولی، زندگیهای شگفتانگیز میسازد.
دعای امروز
خداوندا، سپاسگزارم که مرا فراخواندی تا از تو پیروی کنم و به انسانی تبدیل شوم که برایش آفریده شدهام. ممنونم که تو مسئول تغییر و شکل دادن من هستی. اعلام میکنم که هرجا مرا هدایت کنی، از تو پیروی خواهم کرد و تو را در اولویت زندگیام قرار میدهم. آمین.
